NuScript_RX and its trendsetting products and services have been under development for several years.  In 2006, the institutional pharmacy raised equity to fund an initial start-up.  The company’s national headquarters and state-of-the-art distribution facility opened in suburban Nashville later that year.  The first customer went on line in May 2007.

Over the past few years, NuScript_RX’s team of experts has developed a revolutionary process for the packaging and delivery of prescription medications to long-term care facilities and their patients.  Nursing homes and other facilities now can have a virtual “in-house pharmacy” like the hospitals do.  The new technology is establishing a new paradigm in the institutional pharmacy industry.

NuScript_RX is managed by its board of directors, with Dennis Bottorff serving as board chairman.  Ed Mercadante oversees the company’s day-to-day operations as CEO. The company, which has more than thirty employees, currently provides pharmacy services to long-term care facilities in OH, TN, FL, and IL.  The firm expects to serve customers throughout the U.S. in the near future.
